About Bianca
Bianca M. Velez is an Executive Virtual Assistant and founder of Executí.VA, LLC, a virtual administrative consulting business based in New York, New York. She provides high-level executive and administrative support to independent consultants, early childhood education leaders, and nonprofit executives. Her work focuses on delivering organized, reliable, and high-touch assistance in areas such as calendar management, email correspondence, data entry, research, project coordination, and meeting support. She also operates under the professional identity of a “Mary Poppins of Business,” reflecting her emphasis on bringing structure and calm to fast-paced environments.
Bianca began building her experience in administrative and operational roles early in her career, working in nonprofit settings during her teens and early twenties before expanding into roles with organizations such as The Princeton Review and photography-based operations teams. During this time, she developed a strong foundation in client service, logistics coordination, and administrative systems management. Around the COVID-19 period, she transitioned into freelance and virtual executive assistance, working closely with consultants and nonprofit leaders on scheduling, communications, and project support in remote environments.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Women & Gender Studies from Hunter College, academic backgrounds that continue to shape her communication style and professional ethics. Bianca is bilingual in English and Spanish and values transparency, open communication, and treating clients as whole individuals. She attributes her success to persistence, a commitment to continuous learning, and the support of her personal and professional community. In her work philosophy, she emphasizes flexibility, empathy, and adaptability, particularly in balancing efficiency with the human side of executive support in an increasingly technology-driven workplace.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Bianca
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'm a hard worker who loves to work and learning. My persistence and diligence have given me success. I've been blessed with great people in my life including family, friends, and exceptional clients who are good humans.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
You can show up raggedy, but you still have to show up. It's okay to not be 100%, but you show up anyway. This applies even into personal life.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In my field, one of the biggest challenges and opportunities right now is the rapid advancement of technology and AI. While these tools are highly effective in reducing time spent on repetitive and administrative tasks, I also recognize that they can sometimes diminish the personal touch and human connection that only people can truly provide.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my professional and personal life, transparency and clear communication are essential to me, especially as I navigate life with a life-altering illness. I place a strong value on honoring the whole person by practicing flexibility, adapting when needed, and extending grace to myself and others.
