Bilge Nazil Altay

Assistant Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology with a research and teaching background in paper, printing, and advanced materials for functional and sustainable applications. Previously completed postdoctoral research at École de technologie supérieure in Montreal and gained industry experience as a Research Co-Op Engineer at BASF in the Packaging Applications Lab, working with additive manufacturing and coating/lamination processes. Earlier academic roles include lecturer and research/teaching appointments at Western Michigan University, along with service as a graduate ambassador and advisory committee member. Holds a PhD in Paper and Printing Science from Western Michigan University, with dissertation work on nano nickel-based conductive inks for printed electronics and surface energy analysis, and a PhD in Printing Education from Marmara University focused on biopolymer paper coatings and printability.
