Her Story
About Billie
Billie Barnes has built a career in human resources spanning about 8 years, most recently transitioning into production after serving as an HR manager in healthcare for 6 years. Prior to that, she worked in skilled trades and advanced from a child acquisition specialist role through various hospitals and staffing agencies for medical and nursing home positions. Her primary focus lies in employee engagement and retention, along with career pathing to support professional growth. Barnes holds a GED, an associate's degree in criminal justice, a bachelor's degree in business, and an OSHA certification earned during her skilled trades work. As a single mother of four, she completed her education while working full-time, an accomplishment she credits to the motivation provided by her parents and children. She values respect, empathy, and treating others with kindness, and advises young women entering the field to pursue knowledge, never give up, and ensure their voices are heard in male-dominated environments.
