What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my openness and approachability—qualities that help people feel comfortable, understood, and able to build trust quickly. I’ve also learned the importance of maintaining my own voice, advocating for myself, and staying committed to continuous learning. Those principles have guided me throughout my career and continue to shape the way I show up for the people I serve.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from the late Mary Spearman, who was both a mentor and an inspiration to me. She showed me what it truly means to thrive in this industry—reminding me to lean into my strengths, stay curious, and never stop learning. We shared our stories, learned from one another, and supported each other through every season of growth. Honoring her guidance continues to shape the way I work and lead today.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be a sponge—learn from everyone around you and take in as much knowledge as you can. Don’t be afraid to expand your horizons, ask questions, and explore every corner of the field. The more you embrace continuous growth, the stronger and more confident you’ll become in your career.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me—both in my work and in my personal life—are integrity, authenticity, and a commitment to continual growth. One of the moments I’m most proud of was being invited to speak at the Chicago Mortgage Leadership Roundtable. I remember sitting in the audience years ago, watching industry leaders on stage and wondering if I’d ever have the chance to share my own expertise. Being chosen to speak, answer questions, and contribute to the conversation was a powerful reminder of how far I’ve come and why staying true to my values matters.
