Ten minutes with Binta
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
This is not a job that you are going into to just get money real quick. It is something that you have to be able to do from the bottom of your heart. There's a lot of challenges, the training itself is very difficult, but if you have the interest, if this is something you want to do, you can go ahead and do it. Working in people's homes you have to be able to set some boundaries, you have to have some respect for human beings, human dignity, and also because we might be caring for people at the end of life, you have to be able to balance your emotions.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
It is important to me that my patients are able to stay at home with their parents. Even if they are not going to make it too far in life, but they still have that quality of life. They have life with dignity, as much as we can give them.
