Her Story

About bionca

I'm an intuitive wellness practitioner who has been serving clients since 2016 through my holistic tool-based practice. In 2022, I took a pioneering step by bringing my wellness business into the metaverse, opening up new ways to serve my community. I work with professionals, creatives, executives, lawyers, and doctors - people who are navigating competitive work environments and need mental decompression. When they're going through tough times mentally, I provide them the opportunity to declutter, see what's going on, and figure out how they can better move forward and focus on their tasks. I guide people through their spirituality, self-esteem, and confidence challenges to help them get through the tough environments they're in. One of my proudest achievements was collaborating with Meta in 2023 on a campaign for Pride and Gen Z. I built out a space in Meta Horizon where Gen Z children could receive affirmations to be comfortable in their skin and strive forward with confidence. I'm a mom of two children, and I've learned to balance motherhood with my practice. I conduct sessions through phone, video, or in the metaverse, and I always make sure to ground myself and be in the right state of mind before working with clients so I can give them the key information they need. I'm from New York originally, grew up in Nassau County and attended Hempstead High School in a pretty rough environment. After having my first child, I moved to Florida. I never went to college, but I'm now considering going back to school for 3D modeling to enhance my skills and improve my income, making sure I'm not being exploited in the process.

Ten minutes with bionca

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience. It's been the key quality that has carried me through my journey.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is that when you're in an industry and you're serving, doors will always open for you - things that you would have never expected when you're in a space of serving others. I learned that we are multifaceted, and it's okay to master one thing and pursue other areas. I never thought that I would have been in tech or even been a creator at all. My business was just basically via social media, but once I got in the metaverse and I was able to benefit the community, different opportunities came to me. When you're serving, opportunities will present themselves in ways you never imagined.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If you want to do something, just do it. Don't think too much about what qualifications you have, or who may not support you - just go for it. You never know what opportunities will open up for you once you just start. If you don't have the resources, they will be presented to you as you master more of yourself. Don't let the lack of credentials or support hold you back from pursuing what you want to do.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

We're moving out of a space where social media is just a focal point. You can't just post things online anymore. People want more depth, they want to see more of you, they want to know your trials and tribulations and things that you've overcome. I'm noticing that people want to be more involved in your life. But the challenge of that is putting yourself in a space where many people in my field who have mastered the social media part now have a lot of adversity. The people that you help may turn into people that you have to address in a different way. You helped them, and then these are the same people that can become your biggest adversity sometimes. It's a difficult balance between being open and vulnerable while protecting yourself from those who might turn against you.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are integrity and precision. These guide everything I do.
