Her Interview
Ten minutes with Blaire
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think I'm just highly competitive with myself. If there's something I can do to push a little harder or gain an accomplishment, I'm going to do it. I'm gonna put in the hours to do it. My father passed on really great traits with success to me, and winning certain things or working towards goals was just like second nature, so I do it for him. He passed away about 5 years ago, so I do everything for my father but also for him.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I always loved a TED talk I saw forever ago. It's basically like fake it till you make it. And I think that that has been my biggest mantra I've had from my role just coming straight out of college. Everybody feels like they don't know what they're doing, but if you can really believe that you carry yourself highly, you ask the right questions. If there's something you don't know, it's okay to say professionally let me get back to you about that. Just really holding yourself high I think really carries. It's helped me land all of the jobs, it's helped me land this job. They said they felt there was just an extreme confidence about me.
