Her Interview
Ten minutes with Blaklee
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being a second-generation financial advisor and learning the industry through mentorship and experience. Building strong client relationships, focusing on trust, and taking the time to understand each client’s needs have been key to my growth.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to treat every client with respect, listen carefully, and always do what is right for them. Consistency and integrity in service matter more than trying to stand out quickly.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women not to give up. The financial industry can be challenging and male-dominated, especially early on, but persistence, confidence, and finding your niche will create opportunities for success.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is navigating industry competition, evolving technology, and misinformation on social media. However, there are strong opportunities in specialization and in serving more women and families who are looking for advisors they can trust.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Respect, integrity, and kindness are the most important values to me. I also believe strongly in doing what is right for my clients and ensuring they feel confident and secure in their financial decisions.
