Her Story
About Blanche
I have been in customer service for over 30 years and in onboarding for almost 3 years. In my current role, I conduct scheduled Zoom meetings with partners who want to open weight loss clinics using GLPs. I guide them through the entire journey from the very beginning, helping them find office space, pick out their name, secure a domain, and select all the software they'll need. I walk them through everything until they open the doors to their clinic, and then we do periodic check-ins to make sure the clinic is successful. If they're having issues, we brainstorm together, try different approaches, and meet again in a quarter to re-evaluate and adjust as needed. Before this, I moved around a lot and held different positions, spending 11 years in the veterinary field in roles like lead reception and reception training, and I also worked as a concierge for a major mall in Virginia. I'm also a certified Reiki practitioner, which I've been doing for 3 years. I love talking to people from across the country, from East Coast to West Coast and everything in between.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Blanche
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to continued growth and always learning how I can be better and expand. I believe in being willing to listen with an open heart and without judgment. I've learned to be on a different frequency, to not chase anything in my life, but to attract. My mentor from the Visionary Leader Academy, Minerva McCutcheon, taught me a new way to think that has really shaped my approach. I focus on honesty, dependability, and empathy in everything I do.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to be willing to listen with an open heart and without judgment. This has been fundamental to my success in customer service and in all my work with people. It allows me to truly connect with the partners I work with and understand their needs without bringing my own biases into the conversation.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My greatest piece of advice is to be patient. You come across all walks of life, and not everybody walks the same path. Everybody has their own story, and we don't know what that story is. Someone can have a bad day and just be rude, and it's helpful to just take a breath and remind yourself that you don't know this person. They could have just had some really bad news before they came in contact with you, so don't take it personally. This patience and understanding will serve you well in customer service and in life.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are honesty, dependability, and empathy. These guide everything I do professionally and personally. I believe in listening with an open heart and without judgment, which allows me to connect authentically with people. I've also learned the importance of being patient and understanding that everyone has their own story and walks their own path. Through my work as a Reiki practitioner, I've learned not to influence others with my personal perspectives, but rather to hold space for their own healing and growth. I want to help people in whatever way they need, sharing the kind of transformative experience that touched me so deeply.
