What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success primarily to my support system. My family—my mom, Cheryl; my dad, Nicholas; and my siblings—has been incredibly supportive throughout my journey. Their encouragement has given me the confidence to pursue my ambitions in the fashion industry, even when my drive and impulsive nature pushed me to take bold steps. They have truly been my greatest source of motivation and inspiration.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to give your all every single day. Show up fully, commit 100%, and trust that everything happens for a reason. When opportunities arise, take them—don’t hesitate. I’ve embraced this approach throughout my career, seizing the opportunities in front of me, and it’s been instrumental in helping me reach the next level in my professional journey.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to study hard and never be afraid to ask questions—knowledge is power. The more you learn and the more questions you ask, the more confident and capable you become, which directly contributes to your success. I also recommend surrounding yourself with people who are more experienced or at higher levels than you. Being around those who inspire and challenge you is essential for continued growth and development in your career.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The fashion industry is constantly evolving, which makes adaptability essential. Staying open to change and embracing new trends is crucial to remaining relevant. I also see a significant opportunity in supporting small, local businesses. While major retailers like Amazon play a big role in the market, fostering and sustaining local fashion businesses is vital for our communities and for creating opportunities for the next generation of talent to flourish.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are authenticity, honesty, and timeliness. I believe in being my true, organic self in everything I do, staying genuine and authentic. Honesty is essential for growth, and being timely and reliable in all my commitments ensures that I maintain trust and respect with others.
