Bonnie earned an A.A. and A.S. in Elementary Education and Teaching from Lincoln Trail College, along with graduate credits in foreign language and science. During her studies, she was active in Phi Theta Kappa, peer counseling, tutoring, mentoring, and academic support initiatives. She has expressed an interest in continuing her education in the future, building upon her previous academic accomplishments and lifelong commitment to learning. Community service and ministry are also important parts of Bonnie’s life. She currently serves as a Stephen Minister through her church, participating in a ministry that provides one-on-one Christian care and support to individuals experiencing difficulties, hardships, or the loss of loved ones. Although she does not currently have an assigned care recipient, she remains engaged with the ministry and its mission of supporting others. Her combined experiences in education, ministry, mentoring, and the arts reflect her dedication to lifelong learning, creativity, compassion, and meaningful service to her community.
