Her Story

About Bonnie

Bonnie Jun serves as a creative director specializing in ecommerce, creative direction, and fashion design while living in Austin, Texas. With more than a decade of professional experience, she began her path in Los Angeles working in fashion and ecommerce, owning a vintage shop that helped launch her brand-building efforts. Jun handles every aspect of her businesses from creative and editorial work to photography, website development, marketing, and team management, drawing on full-time roles that taught her the full scope of ecommerce operations. She studied fashion design and merchandise at Long Beach State and Los Angeles Trade Tech, later pursuing additional classes at General Assembly and Austin Coding Academy to expand her skills in marketing, development, and design. Jun attributes her drive to early inspiration from small business owners, the growth of her short editorials into larger projects, support from creative peers, and encouragement from her mother to reach higher and pursue goals. Her most notable achievement includes directing a black-and-white short film shot on 8mm that won eight awards across Hollywood, New York, and Italy, earning her IMDB credits.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Bonnie

01What do you attribute your success to?

Early on seeing smaller business owners inspired me. Short editorials turning into something bigger catapulted my motivation. My peers and creative friends keep me motivated. My mother was always very inspiring and kept me going, encouraging me to reach higher for goals and jump in and go for it.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My mother was always very inspiring. Even when I was really young she knew things I would do in my life and kept me going. Advice was just to kind of reach higher for goals and go for it, to jump in and go for it.
