About Bonnie
Bonnie Robinson serves as the VP of Accounting and Finance Operations for Synapse Virtual Production, a virtual production studio in Los Angeles. She has nearly two years with the company after previously working at Sony Pictures International, where she handled IATSE prorations in the audit department before moving to the television department and rewriting their processes for calculating residuals. With 20 years of overall experience and 15 years in entertainment, Robinson specializes in accounting and finance, optimizing efficiencies through debt renegotiations and government loans while creating individual sets of books to bridge corporate and production accounting needs. She has built a niche in setting up production accounting and accounting departments from the ground up for multiple companies, including House of Moose and her current employer. Robinson holds a SOX certification and is completing her accounting degree at Western Governors University after starting her career as a bookkeeper right out of high school.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Finish your degree. Work hard and listen. Learn from your mentors. Everything is fixable. Communication is key. Don't go into something thinking you know it all.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Showing my kids what hard work looks like. Work ethic is really important. We work hard for what we have.
