About Brandace
I graduated high school in Louisiana, and during my junior year of high school I joined the military. I did about 6 years active duty, and I learned a ton of good work habits there. Once I came back from training and settled back in, I was ready to start college and graduated from University of New Orleans. I was as involved as I could be - I tried sports, though that lasted a short time before it got in the way of my other extracurriculars like being an orientation leader, a peer mentor, and a tutor in college. I was still working at that time too. I graduated probably in December, and in January I moved to Texas where I accepted my current position. I was hired on as a staff member fresh out of college. They took a chance on me and said, hey, I think this person can do good things for this company, can be an asset, and I try to do that every day. Through restructuring and reorganizing and time, I've now become the accounting manager. During that time, I also tried to get my master's. I began that program, and about halfway in is when I found out I was pregnant with my current boyfriend at that time. We put a hold on that, and we got married and did all the things. Now I have a child and I'm doing the family thing and still trying to balance all the things at once.
