Ten minutes with Brandi
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the support and encouragement of my family, who have always pushed me to grow while being honest and straightforward with me. My ambition and eagerness to learn have also played an important role in my professional development. I have always wanted to pursue work that I am genuinely passionate about, and I believe that commitment to finding meaningful work has helped guide my career.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I believe networking is extremely important when building a career in human resources. For those who are looking to get their foot in the door, I recommend considering staffing agencies because they can provide valuable opportunities to gain practical experience. Recruiting is also a great way to learn one area of HR and develop a strong foundation in the profession. For individuals who do not yet have HR experience, pursuing a PHR certification can also be a valuable step toward establishing credibility and advancing in the field.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and honesty are the values that matter most to me, both professionally and personally. I also place a strong emphasis on transparency because I believe that being open and straightforward builds trust with others. I value efficiency as well, and I strive to bring that same sense of organization, effectiveness, and accountability into both my professional responsibilities and my personal life. I believe that who I am personally is reflected in the way I approach my work.
