What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work and dedication, combined with strong team bonding and collaboration. Customer focus is really important to me, and I make it a point to show up every day with a positive outlook. I'm very goal-oriented, and I think that's been a key factor in my success. I've also been incredibly fortunate to work for amazing companies and have had wonderful bosses and mentors throughout my career. I've managed amazing teams, and honestly, I can't point to one single achievement because my success is truly the sum of all the years and experiences that have led me here. Being part of strong, collaborative teams and lifting each other up has been essential to everything I've accomplished.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is to never get overwhelmed and always try to look at both sides of the coin. I've also learned that there's no I in team - that's always a good one to remember. You are as strong as your team, and I truly believe that. This advice has helped me navigate challenges and maintain perspective throughout my career, especially when things get complex or difficult. It reminds me to stay balanced, consider different viewpoints, and remember that success is a team effort.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
For a young woman entering this industry, I would say keep striving and set your goals. Hard work, determination, and motivation are always the key factors in success, in my opinion. Don't give up, stay focused on what you want to achieve, and maintain that self-motivation. The technology field can be challenging, but if you're dedicated and keep pushing forward, you can build an incredible career. I started in real estate and found my way into SAP security, so your path might surprise you - but if you work hard and stay motivated, you'll find your place.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I believe there's always opportunity in this field. You can find opportunities in anything if you look at things from a positive perspective. Nobody ever gets it perfect, so there are always areas of opportunity. Rather than focusing on challenges, I try to identify where we can improve, innovate, and make things better. The key is maintaining that positive outlook and recognizing that every situation, every project, every system has room for growth and enhancement. That's what keeps this field exciting and dynamic.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are collaboration, trust, and respect. I think these are absolutely key to everything I do. Integrity is fundamental - it's about instilling trust and providing support to my team and colleagues. I'm great at lifting up my team and bragging about them, and I believe that when you build an environment based on trust, respect, and true collaboration, that's when you achieve the best results. These values guide how I lead, how I work with others, and how I approach both my professional and personal relationships.
