With over 18 years of experience spanning continuous improvement, industrial engineering, and manufacturing operations, she has developed a strong expertise in ensuring high-quality production standards, implementing lean systems, and driving operational excellence across multiple facilities. Brandi began her career at Motherson Sumi Systems Limited, where she honed her skills in lean manufacturing and operational efficiency over 11 years. She then joined AAM, initially as a Continuous Improvement Manager and Industrial Engineering Coordinator, before being promoted to her current role. Her career progression reflects her dedication, technical expertise, and ability to deliver measurable results in complex manufacturing environments. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering from the Indiana Institute of Technology, equipping her with the technical foundation to lead innovative manufacturing initiatives.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to dedication, determination, and resilience. Starting as a young mother, I navigated challenges and adversities with focus and perseverance. I have always maintained a high level of integrity and dignity, concentrating on what I can control and doing what is right, even when it isn’t the easiest path. This approach has guided me toward achieving my goals and advancing in my career.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve ever received is: “You can, and you will. Never give up on your dreams.” I’ve learned to control what I can, stay committed to my objectives, and trust that the rest will follow.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Women have a strong presence in manufacturing and engineering, and I encourage young women to get involved, build their networks, and actively participate in organizations like Women in Manufacturing (WiM). Your voice matters, and leadership opportunities are available for those willing to pursue them.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—is managing the many hats I wear, both professionally and personally. I am passionate about giving my best in the workplace while also fulfilling my responsibilities at home. Balancing these priorities allows me to lead effectively and maintain personal fulfillment.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value integrity, dedication, and teamwork. I prioritize supporting my employees, recognizing their hard work, and ensuring they have the resources to succeed. At the same time, I place my family and children first, using my work ethic and commitment to set an example and achieve meaningful results both at home and in my career.
