About Brandy

Brandy serves as lead consultant at FedEx Office, a position she has held since November 2025. With nine years of experience in the field, she works at the Kroger Regional Office on Amherst Pike in Nashville, Tennessee, where her responsibilities include mailroom operations, receiving and delivering mail and packages, printing checks and vendor checks, managing print jobs and scanning in the print center, and leading the site in her manager's absence. Brandy attributes her success to being a self-starter who takes initiative to learn quickly, paying close attention and absorbing knowledge from her manager and coworkers. She received advice to learn every aspect of the business, participate in calls, and prepare for potential advancement as her manager nears retirement. Brandy advises young women entering the industry to always take initiative, be willing to learn new processes, remain aware of their surroundings, and provide attentive customer service by smiling and asking questions to understand needs. She also recommends working at other sites to gain broader experience. Brandy values treating people the way she wants to be treated, being considerate, keeping God at the center of everything, and performing all tasks with integrity. Her educational background includes two years of part-time pre-nursing studies at National State Community College followed by an associate's degree in medical assisting with a minor in business administration from National College of Business and Technology, completed with graduation in 2008.

Ten minutes with Brandy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being a self-starter and taking initiative to learn. Even when I first started, I took the initiative to learn things quickly, paying attention and learning as much as I could from my manager and coworkers.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received is to learn everything I can, pay attention, get in on calls during the week, and learn every aspect because it may not be long before my manager retires and they want to groom me to take over the position.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say always take initiative, be willing to learn, and always be aware of what's going on in your surroundings. Be attentive to customers, don't just wait on them to come to you, smile, and ask questions to find out their needs. Also take initiative to work at other sites to gain more opportunities.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated, being considerate, keeping God at the center of everything, having integrity, and doing everything with integrity.
