Brandy Hailey

She is an accomplished educational leader and principal with over seven years of experience in urban education, career and technical education, and school leadership. Currently serving as Principal at Sugar Creek Charter School, she leads school operations, instructional strategy, and organizational improvement. She previously served as a Career and Technical Business Educator at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where she taught at Ranson IB Middle School and spent seven years supporting student success and career readiness. She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Winthrop University, where she focused on instructional leadership, school improvement, and data-driven decision-making, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Urban Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her doctoral research examines educational leadership, organizational systems, equity-centered leadership, and the lived experiences of Black women principals in urban school settings. Her career reflects a deep commitment to equity, systemic change, and improving outcomes for students and communities.
