Brandy Hoffman
Brandy Hoffman is an accomplished compliance leader known for her transparent, flexible, and people-centered leadership style. She currently serves as Compliance Manager at Navy Mutual Aid Association, where she supports a mission-driven organization dedicated to serving military members, veterans, and their families. With more than a decade of experience in insurance compliance, Brandy brings a strategic mindset, deep regulatory expertise, and a passion for collaboration, relationship-building, and organizational excellence. Her leadership approach is rooted in authenticity and adaptability, allowing her to meet individuals where they are and guide them with clarity, structure, and support.
Brandy began her career in insurance sales and steadily advanced through roles that expanded her expertise and strengthened her commitment to compliance. She spent more than ten years at TruStage, ultimately serving as Compliance Operations Manager, where she built and led a high-performing team, developed risk-based oversight programs, enhanced corporate training, and supported key initiatives across product development, investigations, advertising compliance, and policy governance. One of her proudest achievements was helping to expand the compliance department by developing a comprehensive career framework, creating internship programs, and nearly doubling the team. She is a former chapter president and active member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals, where she continues to support professional growth and industry advancement.
Brandy earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from St. Ambrose University and later completed her MBA at Mount Mercy University. Outside of her professional roles, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and remains deeply connected to her agricultural roots. Growing up on a farm shaped her values of integrity, hard work, and consistency, and those values continue to guide her personally and professionally. Today she maintains a small farm with goats, horses, chickens, and geese, embracing a balanced life that reflects her grounded nature and strong sense of purpose.

I attribute my success to hard work, being solution orientated and my willingness to ask hard questions.

Make a decision and if you don't like it, make another decision.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's never the right time to start. Make the decision and take your shot. If you don't like it, you have another decision to make.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being solution oriented and forward thinking. Also, being considerate of others, trustworthy and thoughtful.
