Brandy Mattox
Brandy Mattox is an accomplished and dedicated professional with a career spanning multiple industries, including customer service, manufacturing, tech support, sales, and healthcare. She currently serves as the Office Manager for Family Senior Care, Inc., a family-owned home health agency in West Virginia, where she oversees day-to-day operations and ensures that clients receive compassionate care that allows them to maintain independence in their homes. Brandy attributes her success to her strong faith in God, which she leans on for guidance and strength in both her personal and professional life.
Brandy’s educational achievements are a testament to her perseverance and commitment to excellence. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Associate’s degree and Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration/Management from Strayer University. Currently in the final quarter of her MBA program focusing on Human Resources, she continues to pursue academic excellence while maintaining professional responsibilities. Brandy has also been recognized for her exceptional skills, earning the first Platinum score on the WorkKeys exam in West Virginia, and is a member of both the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Iota Eta chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.
Throughout her career, Brandy has accumulated extensive experience in healthcare and administration, including roles in hospital medical reception, mental health and drug rehabilitation programs, group homes, and home health care. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she is deeply committed to community service through her volunteer work with the Mission Team at Gallipolis First Presbyterian Church, supporting local food banks, angel tree programs, and other humanitarian initiatives. Brandy is passionate about being an example to women of all ages, showing that it is never too late to pursue new goals, further education, or career changes, and she combines her skills, compassion, and faith to make a meaningful impact on those around her.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my education and diverse professional experience, which opened doors and gave me the skills to take on new opportunities, like opening a new office. I also credit the guidance of mentors, especially my current boss Terry Pearson, and my consistent focus on client satisfaction.

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentor, Terry Pearson, who guided me in developing my office management skills and provided unwavering support both professionally and personally.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this field to stay prepared for unexpected challenges, but also to remember how rewarding it is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field is the need for more professionals who combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. At the same time, there’s a great opportunity to recruit, train, and build connections that strengthen both human resources and home health services.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are compassion, community service, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of my clients. I prioritize client satisfaction and dignity in my work, and in my personal life, I stay committed to giving back through church and community initiatives that support those in need.
