Her Interview
Ten minutes with Brandye
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my family and the strong network of advocates who have encouraged me, believed in my abilities, and helped me navigate opportunities throughout my career. Their guidance, encouragement, and confidence in me have been instrumental in shaping my growth and motivating me to continue striving for excellence.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering the military or any leadership-focused industry to embrace the opportunities available to them and remain open to learning and growth. The military provides significant opportunities to develop leadership skills and take on meaningful responsibilities; at just 22 years old, I was entrusted with leading a team of 50 people. That experience taught me the importance of confidence, adaptability, and continuous development. Most importantly, I believe it is essential to be willing to learn, challenge yourself, and grow rather than simply conform to expectations.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are family, friendships, and faith. I value the love, support, and meaningful connections these relationships provide, as they keep me grounded and motivated. My faith serves as a source of strength and guidance, while my family and friends remind me of the importance of compassion, loyalty, and being there for others.
