Her experience in patient care and ophthalmology allows her to understand the needs of healthcare professionals while effectively communicating product information and supporting quality eye care. At Théa Pharma US, she has been involved in promoting a portfolio of preservative-free eye care products and supporting product launches, combining her clinical knowledge with relationship building, education, and sales expertise. She earned her bachelor’s degree in medicine from Arizona State University and attended physician assistant school in Minnesota, further strengthening her healthcare knowledge and professional foundation.
Breanna has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional excellence, community service, and lifelong learning. During her first year in sales, she was recognized as one of the Top 5 Territory Managers in the Midwest Region, an achievement that reflects her dedication, adaptability, and ability to excel in a competitive industry. Beyond her career, she gives back through her work as a Lead Vision Screener with Phillips Eye Institute’s Early Youth Eyecare program and as a Vision Screener with the Lions KidSight USA Foundation, helping provide vision pre-screenings for children in first, third, and fifth grades. Ten minutes with Breanna
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my 15-year journey in ophthalmology, which has given me a strong foundation of industry knowledge, experience, and a genuine passion for helping improve patient care. My interest in ophthalmology was inspired by my great-grandmother’s experiences with glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which made the field personally meaningful to me. Over the past 3.5 years in sales, I have continued to build my expertise while representing a company focused on preservative-free eye care solutions, allowing me to combine my passion for ophthalmology with my commitment to making a meaningful difference for patients and healthcare professionals.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to have a clear vision for my career and find meaningful ways to turn that vision into action. My educational journey, including earning my bachelor’s degree in medicine from Arizona State University and completing physician assistant school in Minnesota, gave me the knowledge and foundation to pursue that vision. I’ve learned to trust my goals, build on my education and experience, and remain open to opportunities that allow me to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The best advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to stay involved, continue learning, and look for opportunities to give back to the community. My volunteer work as a lead vision screener with Phillips Eye Institute and the Lions KidSight USA Foundation has been especially meaningful, as it allows me to support vision screenings for children in first, third, and fifth grades. Staying engaged both professionally and through service has helped me grow, build meaningful connections, and contribute to better vision health in the communities I serve.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity in my field is the ability to inspire and positively influence others as I continue to grow in my career. I believe that professional growth is not only about advancing personally, but also about encouraging others, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities for those around me. My goal is to lead by example, continue developing my skills, and use my experiences to motivate others to pursue their own success.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are hard work, perseverance, and making the most of every opportunity. I take pride in the dedication and effort that have shaped my career, including being ranked among the Top 5 Territory Managers in the Midwest during my first year in sales in 2023. I believe in working hard, continuing to grow, and celebrating the accomplishments that come from staying committed to my goals. Outside of work, I enjoy living life to the fullest through puzzles, boating, fishing, and spending time with my dog, Minnow, a Cocker Spaniel and Australian Shepherd mix.
