About Brenda
She is a transportation planning and regional development professional with nearly 8 years of experience at Caltrans. She currently leads the Regional Coordination Branch, overseeing coordination with California’s metropolitan and regional transportation planning agencies, while managing planning guidance, funding eligibility, federal compliance, and statewide transportation programs. Earlier in her career, she worked in transportation planning and research, including managing county transportation operations and conducting long-range planning and community research. She also has experience in community development through UC Davis and is a certified personal trainer. She holds two bachelor’s degrees from UC Davis—in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning and Chicano/Chicana Studies.
