About Brenda
Brenda Maldonado is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with extensive experience in mental health, psychotherapy, and social services. She currently works in immigration-related social work at a non-profit legal service organization and also maintains a private psychotherapy practice. Her background spans hospital social work, community mental health, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and program supervision. She is a doctorate student at a psychoanalytic institute and serves as co-chair of the conference team for the Critical Social Work Collective and co-leader of the Silver Cycle Analysis Forum. Her primary focus is working with clients who have histories of trauma, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, and attachment trauma, often through immigration clinical work and a relational perspective.
