About Brenda
I'm a former prosecutor and attorney who went to Brooklyn Law School and worked in the DA's office before moving into private practice in compliance and regulatory work for almost 20 years. In 2018, my husband, a retired detective, and I identified a niche in the fingerprinting industry that wasn't being met in the North Carolina and South Carolina area. We started Carolina Fingerprinting with just one system, and our first major breakthrough was securing a huge contract with CMS Schools, serving almost 9,000 people. Since then, we've grown to almost 30 locations across North Carolina and South Carolina. We also formed Total Biometric Solutions, our software company, which licenses fingerprinting software to companies in different states. My major responsibilities include overseeing contracts, managing scheduling for mobile fingerprinting services and brick-and-mortar sites, working through new agreements for opening locations, ensuring compliance for software licensing, and making sure our appointment scheduler system works properly across all locations. I also served my community as Mayor Pro Tem and Board of Commissioners member for the town of Waxhaw for over 8 years, helping the town grow immensely both financially and in many other ways. I'm proud to be the only Black female-operated business in the fingerprinting and software industry.
