Her Interview

Ten minutes with Bri

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

You can achieve anything you want to do, you just have to make it happen. You can't sit back and hope something's gonna fall into your lap, you just have to pursue and be consistent. People telling me no has been a big motivator.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be passionate about what you do. No is just a word, and yes is easier to pursue. Follow through. Follow your dreams. Just do what you want to do and what you're passionate about, and you'll make it.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Usually being the only woman in the room giving these speeches, so trying to get men to actually hear me and listen to me has always been a challenge in the construction industry, but things are definitely getting better. Trying to stay in front of people and earn respect from everybody else in the industry.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, just being a good person, honest, how I can help the customer. Safety first, that's huge with Weyerhaeuser, and I really respect that, even just with families. Safety, integrity, trying to make the world a better place at the end of the day.
