I attribute much of my success to hard work, persistence, and mentorship. My first boss Yvonne Young gave me a chance when I had no work experience and guided me through promotions. I believe in following your passion, especially in marketing and social media, and finding creative outlets. Success is built with others through relationships and mentorship. My current mentor is my boss Whitney Kidd who has helped pave the way for women and making sure they feel supported in the industry. She cofounded W. Collective. Lauren Dalia was my first regional I had at Preiss and she really set the tone for me being at a new company and really believed in me and my ideas. I knew I had my found my new home (Preiss) immediately when I met her. It is important to have people in your professional life who are your biggest cheerleaders.

Women dont need to be pitted against each other.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Our company has nearly 60% female executive leadership. The industry is doing a great job with initiatives like the W Collective for women and allies, but there is still room for improvement as conferences show more male representation.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, compassion, and empathy are important. Giving back through volunteering and community service is key, especially in our industry. My family and friends are everything to me and I always try to be as present with them as I can outside of work. I love going on trips and taking breaks when I can to reset.
