About Bria
Bria Bell is a communications professional with 11 years of experience. She began her career as a TV reporter, spending nearly a decade in the role and achieving her goal of returning to Dallas to cover stories in her community. Seeking new challenges, she made a strategic pivot to the MarCom field. In her current position, Bria supports thought leaders by securing placements at industry events on main stages to discuss trends and the future of the industry, while also building brand awareness for the firm. She earned her undergraduate degree in communications from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and a master's of liberal arts from Texas Christian University. Bria has been a member of the National Association of Black Journalists for most of her journalistic career. She is passionate about giving back, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and mentoring young professionals at TCU and LSU.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Fail fast. There are many opportunities to learn hands-on and be exposed to new dynamics or tools. It's okay to make mistakes as long as you make them quickly and course-correct quickly and learn what went wrong because all it is is data.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Not being afraid to try different things. You're not locked in forever to those decisions and you can always pivot. Get your hands on as many experiences as you can building a repertoire of skill sets and knowledge.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The demand and opportunities that come to the firm because of the firm's brand. The biggest hurdle is having the time to sit down and strategize on which opportunity makes the most sense.
