What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success first and foremost to my faith—God is central in my life and journey. In addition, I have been incredibly fortunate to have a strong support system of family and friends who help ground me and push me forward. Their support has been instrumental in helping me overcome moments of self-doubt and imposter syndrome, especially in high-impact and fast-paced environments.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to always take the first step and try, even when the path into human resources feels challenging. Getting your foot in the door is critical—once you’re in, focus on showcasing your skills, building relationships, and expanding your network. Additionally, with the rapid rise of AI, it’s important to stay informed and continuously upskill. Rather than fearing technological change, position yourself to work alongside it by gaining relevant knowledge and certifications that allow you to contribute to innovation.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the most significant developments in human resources today is the rise of AI. While it presents concerns around job displacement, it also creates a major opportunity for HR professionals to evolve. Those who invest in understanding and leveraging AI can play a key role in shaping more efficient, data-driven, and forward-thinking organizations.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me most are faith, family, and maintaining a strong, supportive network. I believe in showing up authentically, building trust with others, and fostering meaningful relationships both personally and professionally. These values not only shape my leadership style but also influence how I support others in their growth and success.
