Before founding Cookie, Briana built a distinguished career in real estate and investment management, holding senior leadership roles at Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, AllianceBernstein, and Kairos Investment Management. Her expertise spans private alternatives, real estate product development, investor relations, and business development. Briana has also served on boards, including the Sexual Assault Center, demonstrating her commitment to philanthropy and community impact alongside her professional achievements.

Briana’s primary areas of expertise include real estate private equity, startup strategy, product development, operations, and technology-enabled family solutions. After two decades in institutional real estate, she now applies her strategic, analytical, and leadership experience to building a consumer technology platform designed to simplify modern family life. Briana brings 20 years of experience in real estate private equity, followed by her recent transition into the technology and startup space as a founder. Her career reflects both deep institutional expertise and entrepreneurial agility. She attributes her success to strategic thinking, disciplined execution, and the willingness to take calculated risks, and she credits her decision to realign her career with her values, particularly family and presence, as a defining factor in her current fulfillment and momentum. One of her most meaningful achievements is founding Cookie, a tech startup that helps families manage household responsibilities more efficiently. The platform has already gained traction, with 130 families on a waitlist, 40 beta-testing families, and three corporate beta partners, signaling strong early validation. Briana is currently the Founder of Cookie, where she oversees product strategy, team development, and growth planning. She works with an outsourced development team, is onboarding a fractional CTO, and is expanding her support team with interns, focusing on scaling the platform while maintaining balance and intentional leadership.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Briana identifies a major challenge in the tech and startup space as balancing speed, scale, and sustainability, particularly while building something meaningful for families. At the same time, she sees strong opportunity in technology that supports real life, especially platforms that address unseen labor, mental load, and everyday inefficiencies faced by households.

Briana values family, intentionality, balance, and impact. Professionally, she believes success should align with quality of life. Personally, she prioritizes being present for her children and modeling courage, independence, and purpose-driven decision-making.

Outside of work, Briana enjoys spending time with her three daughters, hiking, fly fishing, visiting amusement parks, and investing in meaningful relationships. She also has a strong appreciation for food, cooking, and live music, particularly Nashville’s music scene, and enjoys family trips to places like Dollywood.
