Ten minutes with Brianna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to having great management and mentors along the way, especially strong guidance from other women in powerful leadership positions. Curiosity and exploring new spaces that I didn't know existed also played a big role, along with the mindset that there isn't anything I can't do and not limiting myself based on limited knowledge since everything is teachable if you're willing to put in the work.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I received was that there isn't anything that I can't do and not to limit myself based on limited knowledge of a topic because everything in this space is teachable as long as you're willing to put in the work. Curiosity and exploring that was emphasized early in my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Try your best to start to have those little inklings of confidence, it goes a long way when you're in these rooms of male-dominated industry. Half the battle is having a little bit of confidence in your voice. Because you know just as much as they do, you just maybe haven't experienced having to vocalize it in a room with X amount of people. Everybody has something to contribute, and if you come to the table with a little bit more confidence in your voice, and as you grow in your career, that repetition will only help you push that confidence a little bit further. It just takes reps.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity is one of the utmost important values, staying true to your word and saying and doing what you're going to do. Being a stand-up person and a good person is something I really take pride in as I navigate through my career. People want to be around good people at the end of the day.
