Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to start wherever I was needed. I first joined the gym as a janitor, and through dedication, learning, and a passion for the fitness community, I worked my way up to managing three locations. Each step along the way taught me the importance of humility, resilience, and teamwork. My ultimate goal is to continue growing into a General Manager role and eventually become a partial owner, where I can help shape the future of our gyms and create even greater opportunities for staff and members.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from the president of my company, who has been my biggest inspiration. They taught me the importance of leading with both vision and humility, reminding me that success isn’t just about results, but about how you inspire and lift others along the way. That advice has guided me through every stage of my career, from starting in an entry-level position to managing multiple gym locations, and it continues to shape the leader I aspire to be.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the fitness industry is to stay open to people from all walks of life and to truly listen to their stories. Every person who walks through the door brings unique experiences, challenges, and goals. By being open-minded and compassionate, you not only build stronger connections but also create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported. That openness has been a key part of my growth and success, and it’s something I believe is essential for any leader in this field.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are resilience, family, and community. Becoming a mother at 17 taught me strength, determination, and the ability to overcome challenges while keeping my goals in sight. Today, as a mom of four, I carry those lessons into my work, where I strive to lead with integrity and compassion while providing opportunities for others to grow. Outside of work, I find balance and joy in dancing hula and Tahitian, teaching step classes, spending time at the beach or camping with my family, and supporting high school girls’ flag football. These experiences remind me that success isn’t just about professional achievements, but about living fully, giving back, and creating meaningful connections.
