What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of hands-on experience and a willingness to pursue new challenges. I began my career at Panasonic Energy, working on Tesla battery production and supporting clean energy initiatives. After starting as an operator and advancing to a maintenance role over three years, I realized I wanted to apply my skills in a more creative way, which led me to transition into the field of technical writing.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from Tara Meisinger, Sr. Maintenance Manager and President of RISE Women’s Group. She has been a strong advocate for inspiring women to pursue careers in engineering, and her encouragement to embrace opportunities in traditionally male-dominated fields has had a lasting impact on my career path.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to never set limits on yourself. If you have a goal, focus on it and pursue it wholeheartedly. Believe in your abilities, explore new opportunities, and be willing to try new things—if you believe it, you can achieve it!
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is having the ability to work alongside published authors. I feel fortunate to be surrounded by people who inspire me everyday.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, authenticity, and kindness. I strive to approach each day with genuine intentions and to be a positive presence for those around me. Outside of work, I enjoy reading poetry and non-fiction, staying active through running, hiking, and gym workouts, and playing the piano—pursuits that keep me balanced, inspired, and connected to the things I love.
