01What do you attribute your success to?

For Bridget Hom, entrepreneurship is more than building a business. It is about transforming expertise into impact, helping leaders recognize their value, and creating businesses that are both profitable and aligned with the lives they want to live. A business strategist, mindset coach, author, and entrepreneur, Hom equips corporate leaders and entrepreneurs to monetize their expertise and move from being stuck on ready to taking purposeful, imperfect action.

Recognized as a Top Mindset Coach of 2022 and a Leader to Watch in 2025, Hom brings a remarkably diverse background to her work. Her journey has included nursing school, ministry, graduate studies in Catholic theology at the University of Notre Dame, legal news reporting across New York City's five boroughs, and a decade as a stay-at-home mother raising her three sons. Each chapter, though seemingly different, contributed to the interpersonal skills, resilience, perspective, and entrepreneurial instincts that now define her approach.

Entrepreneurship, Hom believes, has always been part of her DNA. Raised in a family that emphasized interpersonal skills, values, integrity, and strong principles, she learned early that success is deeply connected to the ability to communicate, build meaningful relationships, and know what one stands for. Those lessons became foundational as she developed multiple businesses and discovered the power of strategic partnerships.

Her entrepreneurial reinvention accelerated during the upheaval of 2020. While navigating virtual school with her three young boys, major personal transitions, and the loss of her work in the senior-care industry due to new safety regulations, Hom found herself at a pivotal crossroads. Bridge to Freedom Coaching, which had begun as a side venture with only three clients, suddenly became an opportunity to build something entirely new.

A chance invitation to a virtual business networking meeting became a defining moment. Hom joined an early-morning Zoom call, introduced herself and her coaching business, and began putting herself in front of people. Within six weeks, she had grown from three clients to six and began expanding her offerings to include group coaching, corporate sales training, motivational speaking, and strategic consulting.

That experience reinforced one of the central principles behind her bestselling book, Stuck on Ready®: entrepreneurs can spend too much time preparing to begin. Hom challenges business owners to stop waiting for perfect conditions and instead embrace imperfect action as a pathway to progress. For her, momentum is created by doing, learning, adjusting, and continuing forward.

Today, Hom serves entrepreneurs who have left corporate careers as well as CEOs seeking to create empowering cultures and prioritize sustainable profitability. Through her work, she equips the person in front of her with the mindset, skill set, and scale set necessary to pursue six-figure growth and beyond.

Her approach extends beyond individual coaching. Through the PROP Method, which centers on Problems, Opportunities, and Solutions, Hom works with business owners and Fortune 500 organizations to identify critical challenges, uncover untapped opportunities, and implement strategic solutions. Her work combines innovation, creativity, and emotionally intelligent leadership to help organizations turn obstacles into competitive advantages.

At the heart of Hom's philosophy is implementation. She has observed that many business owners possess tremendous ideas, expertise, and vision but struggle to turn those assets into consistent action and profit. Her books and programs are designed to bridge that gap by giving entrepreneurs practical frameworks they can use to move from knowing to doing.

Her accomplishments are particularly meaningful because they reflect the life she intentionally designed. One of Hom's proudest achievements is maintaining clear boundaries around her business while honoring her roles as a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. She operates her business from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., demonstrating that scaling a successful company does not have to require sacrificing the relationships and responsibilities that matter most.

Writing has become another important extension of her mission. Hom has published two books focused on helping business owners move from ideas to implementation, including Stuck on Ready® and The PROP Method. Her goal is to make her expertise accessible beyond the coaching room, giving entrepreneurs practical tools they can return to whenever they need clarity, direction, and momentum.

Partnership has also played a defining role in her growth. Hom credits her ability to collaborate effectively with others as one of the key factors behind the expansion of her businesses. Over the past several years, she has built multiple successful partnerships around books, business ventures, and monetizing influence. She believes the right partnership can accelerate growth while making the entrepreneurial journey more rewarding.

Her philosophy is grounded in alignment and what she calls the Law of Deservability. Hom believes people do not create their businesses and relationships solely from what they desire, but also from what they believe they deserve. That belief system can either become a powerful foundation for growth or an invisible barrier holding someone back.

For entrepreneurs who possess a valuable skill, feel passionate about serving others, and can connect that expertise to a meaningful problem in the marketplace, Hom encourages decisive action. She believes the next step is not to wait until everything is perfect, but to find the people who need the solution, take imperfect action, and partner with individuals who have successfully traveled the road ahead.

Her story is ultimately one of reinvention. From nursing school and theology to journalism, motherhood, corporate experience, coaching, consulting, and entrepreneurship, Hom's unconventional path has become part of her greatest strength. Every chapter has contributed to the strategist, leader, and mentor she is today.

Bridget Hom's mission is clear: help people recognize the value they already possess, turn expertise into opportunity, and build businesses that create both financial success and personal freedom. Her journey proves that reinvention does not require abandoning the past. Instead, the experiences, challenges, skills, and lessons gathered along the way can become the very foundation for what comes next.

For entrepreneurs ready to move from preparation to implementation, Hom's resources are available through StuckOnReady.com and ThePROPMethod.com. Her message remains centered on one transformative idea: the moment to stop waiting and start building is now.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

When Bridget reflects on the people who have shaped her most, her mother comes to mind first. Her mother reinvented herself at a young age and walked through circumstances that required tremendous faith and resilience. After being told she couldn’t have children, she experienced what Bridget describes as a miraculous healing. Her unwavering faith has profoundly influenced Bridget and continues to shape the way she approaches life and business.

Her mother also instilled in her the value of communication, reinvention, and using her gifts to make an impact. With a background in speech communications and experience in PR, she has been an extraordinary example of resilience, creativity, and purpose—and remains Bridget’s first and greatest mentor.

Throughout her career, Bridget has also been fortunate to collaborate with brilliant people who have challenged her thinking and helped turn ideas into meaningful experiences. Her business partners, Walter Martinez, Scott Barles, and Chris Prouty, have played an important role in that journey. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with talented minds to create sales, marketing, and entrepreneurial programs designed to help others move forward.

At the heart of Bridget’s work is a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to do life on their terms. For many people, that means creating the freedom that entrepreneurship can provide. That philosophy is the foundation of her programs, Find Your Freedom.

For Bridget, success is about more than building a business. It’s about helping people create the freedom, confidence, and possibilities to build a life that is truly their own.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

For Bridget Hom, the biggest barrier to growth is often not a lack of knowledge—it’s waiting for the perfect moment to act. Her advice to entrepreneurs is to stop preparing indefinitely and start moving forward with purposeful, imperfect action.

She encourages leaders to recognize that their expertise already has value. Rather than constantly searching for another certification, strategy, or sign that they are ready, entrepreneurs should identify the problems they are uniquely equipped to solve and begin serving the people who need those solutions.

Hom also believes that growth should be built on alignment. The clients, partners, and opportunities an entrepreneur chooses should reflect their values and vision. Integrity, honesty, loyalty, and transparency are non-negotiable for her, because sustainable success requires a strong foundation.

Her philosophy is ultimately about momentum. Progress comes from taking action, learning from the results, making adjustments, and continuing forward. Entrepreneurs do not have to have every answer before they begin. They simply need

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

For Bridget, everything begins with integrity. Honesty, loyalty, and transparency are not simply qualities she admires—they are non-negotiable values that guide the way she lives and does business.

Those values extend to the relationships she builds with her clients and collaborators. Bridget believes that meaningful business relationships require a shared foundation of trust and character. In her philosophy, there is no true “acceptance” or “rejection”—there is only alignment.

That alignment comes first. Before focusing on business growth, strategy, or new opportunities, Bridget wants to ensure that the people she works with share the same fundamental values. When that foundation is in place, everything else has a stronger place to grow.

For Bridget, integrity isn't simply part of how she does business—it is the foundation upon which lasting success is built.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

For Bridget Hom, success has never been limited to business growth, professional recognition, or financial achievement. At the heart of her life is a deep commitment to faith, service, family, and empowering others. Her entrepreneurial journey is an extension of those values, shaped by a belief that when people become empowered, they have the ability to empower everyone around them.

Ministry continues to hold a special place in Hom's life. She created God Is My Employer, a program she offers freely to CEOs and faith-driven entrepreneurs who want to build their businesses while remaining rooted in their faith. The program reflects her belief that business and spirituality do not have to exist in separate worlds. Instead, entrepreneurs can bring their faith, values, and sense of purpose directly into the way they lead, serve, and grow.

Her faith also comes alive through music and worship. Hom serves as a worship leader with the Recovery Church Movement, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people affected by addiction and alcoholism experience the message of God through the framework of the Twelve Steps. Her connection to this mission is deeply personal. After two decades in recovery, Hom understands the power of transformation and the importance of creating spaces where people can discover hope, belonging, and a renewed sense of purpose.

That spirit of service was instilled in her from childhood. Hom grew up in a family where there always seemed to be room for another person at the table. Her parents regularly welcomed people from their church community into their home, particularly during holidays and family gatherings. She often jokes that her family operated a bed and breakfast because serving others was simply part of their everyday lives.

That early example became a guiding principle for Hom. She believes people should strive to show up authentically and fully wherever they are, while making it a priority to empower the person standing in front of them. It is a philosophy that influences the way she leads businesses, serves clients, participates in ministry, and approaches relationships.

Hom's life outside of work is equally vibrant. She loves to sing, paint, dance salsa, travel, and spend time with her three sons. As a travel-soccer family, she enjoys being on the sidelines and watching her boys compete, grow, and pursue something they love.

Her passion for dance has even intersected with her entrepreneurial life. Hom met her first business partner for her senior placement agency on a dance floor. The experience became another reminder of something she has long believed: people come together in unexpected places, and meaningful relationships can become the foundation for extraordinary opportunities.

Her commitment to helping others also extends beyond the causes closest to home. Hom has been a longtime supporter of the Recovery Church Movement, and she is passionate about bringing greater attention to another organization that has captured her heart: Kilimate Ministries in Uganda.

The story behind Kilimate Ministries is one that deeply inspires her. Its founder lost his parents at a young age and experienced homelessness on the streets of Uganda. He eventually built a restaurant, but when the COVID-19 pandemic forced it to close, his life took another unexpected turn. Rather than focusing only on rebuilding his own livelihood, he began looking more closely at the children in his community who had no homes and no one to care for them.

He ultimately dedicated his life to providing for those children. Today, Kilimate Ministries cares for 17 girls and 13 boys, helping provide them with schooling, housing, and other essential needs. What began as one person's response to a profound community need has become a mission centered on giving vulnerable children the opportunity to build better futures.

Hom personally partnered with the ministry several years ago to help fund its work. She is now passionate about helping the organization gain broader support and become fully established as a nonprofit presence in the United States.

What inspires Hom most is the founder's willingness to turn compassion into action. He recognized a problem, created a solution, and committed his life to serving the people who needed help most. His story reflects many of the same principles Hom brings to entrepreneurship: identify the need, create a solution, take action, and remain committed to the people being served.

Her passion for children makes the mission particularly meaningful. Hom sees the work of Kilimate Ministries as an example of how one person can create an extraordinary ripple effect by choosing to invest in others. The organization's transparency, including its information about the children, its mission, and its financial needs, further reinforces her belief in supporting leaders who are genuinely committed to their communities.

From recovery and ministry to motherhood, entrepreneurship, music, dance, and philanthropy, Hom's life is connected by one consistent thread: service. Her experiences have taught her that purpose becomes most powerful when it is put into action.

For Hom, empowering others is not simply a business strategy. It is a way of life. Whether she is helping an entrepreneur recognize their potential, encouraging a person in recovery, supporting her sons, leading worship, or investing in a mission halfway around the world, she continues to look for ways to leave people better, stronger, and more hopeful than she found them.
