What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to genuinely connecting with people and providing exceptional customer service. I strive to treat everyone with kindness and make them feel valued, remembering details about their lives to build authentic relationships. Mentorship from my father and colleagues like Roberta Galloway and Ms. Charlotte has shaped my approach, reinforcing the importance of empathy, attentiveness, and professionalism. This focus on personal connection has been the foundation of everything I’ve accomplished, from dentistry and collision repair to running our business today.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my father, who encouraged me to learn every aspect of a dental practice—reception, insurance, billing, and more—so I would always be trainable and indispensable. Throughout my career, I’ve also been inspired by strong women leaders, including a shop manager in the RV and collision repair industry who demonstrated resilience, confidence, and leadership in a male-dominated field, as well as mentors from my dental career who shaped my approach to office management and patient care.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to trust your instincts—if something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Always ask questions; there’s no such thing as a wrong question, and you’ll learn something every time. Be teachable, but also proactive in gathering broad knowledge, because the more you know, the more adaptable and indispensable you become. In traditionally male-dominated industries like RV repair, collision work, or trades like epoxy flooring, don’t be intimidated. There are incredible women excelling in these fields, and you can too—just trust yourself, speak up, and keep learning.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating complex insurance processes and helping customers make the most of their benefits. At the same time, there’s a tremendous opportunity for women to bring empathy, organization, and leadership to traditionally male-dominated industries like RV repair, collision work, and trades. Fields like epoxy flooring are also attracting more women, offering creative opportunities to innovate, lead, and improve customer experiences.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in work and life are balance, kindness, and meaningful work. I believe that being happy and fulfilled in what you do affects not only your professional life but also your personal life. I’m motivated by opportunities to help people—whether in dentistry, the RV industry, or collision repair—because I know the work we do can make a real difference in their lives. Building genuine connections with colleagues and customers is equally important, and it’s something I truly enjoy.
