Bridgette Dromor
Bridgette Dromor is a seasoned Customs and Trade Compliance leader with over eight years of experience driving global trade strategy, regulatory compliance, and tariff optimization across complex, high-volume import environments. She currently holds dual roles as Customs and Trade Compliance Manager at Signet Jewelers and Trade Compliance Advisor at Ericsson, where she provides strategic guidance on tariff mitigation, compliance operations, and sourcing decisions for U.S. and Canadian imports. Bridgette is recognized for her ability to translate intricate regulatory requirements into actionable business strategies, ensuring operational continuity while reducing risk and controlling costs.
Her career began in France after completing a Master’s in International Business at Grenoble Ecole de Management, where she gained hands-on exposure to global supply chain operations as a commercial lane assistant at CMA CGM headquarters in Marseille. Returning to the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic, she joined Flexport as a customs broker, progressing to a Global Customs Associate role. There, she developed deep expertise in product classification, tariff strategy, and compliance documentation, helping companies navigate complex import regulations and optimize duty costs. Bridgette later transitioned to importer-side roles, leveraging her brokerage experience to advise companies on sourcing strategy and trade risk management.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Bridgette is deeply committed to empowering others. She leads a church-based program supporting immigrant entrepreneurs, helping them build businesses from the ground up through mentorship and practical guidance. A mother of three young daughters, she balances a demanding career with family life while planning to launch a trade company connecting African businesses to U.S. markets. With a global perspective, cultural fluency in French, and a purpose-driven approach, Bridgette combines strategic insight with operational excellence to make a meaningful impact in global trade.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering this industry is to find meaning in everything they do. Early in my career as a customs broker, much of the work felt repetitive and tedious, but by fully engaging with it and committing to learning, I built a strong foundation. Every task, no matter how small, contributes to mastery of the craft. Patience and dedication pay off, and the skills you develop today will serve you for years to come.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is the increasing complexity of global trade regulations, especially with shifting tariffs and geopolitical changes. At the same time, this presents a significant opportunity, as companies are recognizing the value of strong trade compliance. It creates a growing demand for professionals who can navigate regulations, mitigate risk, and support smarter sourcing decisions.

The values that matter most to me in both work and life are integrity, perseverance, and service. Professionally, I am committed to doing things the right way—ensuring compliance, accuracy, and ethical practices in global trade.
