Her Story
About Brigid
Brigid Mack serves as a Healthcare Administrator, a role she has held for about two years. In her position, she oversees physician schedules, processes referrals and interactions with other clinics, handles pharmacy authorizations for medications, and manages day-to-day patient communications including calls and messages. Prior to this, she worked as a medical assistant and with the Department of Health in New Mexico. Brigid earned her undergraduate degree in Japanese Language and Literatures at Boston University after initially starting as a science major. She later obtained a Master's in Public Health, where she concentrated on sexual and reproductive healthcare for adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as autism or communication disorders. She also holds a certificate in that area and is peer certified in adolescent relationships. Her volunteer work includes peer mentoring for children with autism and supporting nonverbal youth through athletic activities like parkour and gymnastics. Currently in a gap year before applying to medical school, Brigid aims to reduce gaps in research and access to care for individuals with communication disorders across all ages, potentially in fields like urology or obstetrics.
