Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a deep commitment to service, advocacy, and continual learning, supported by disciplined organization and follow-through. I believe strong operational management is not behind-the-scenes work—it is a critical driver of high-quality patient care and better outcomes.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Even if you can’t get into your desired industry right away, trust that you’re meant to be building the skills that will get you there. Sometimes that means taking a role with a different title or outside the industry. If the job helps you develop transferable skills, it’s still moving you forward. Focus on gaining as many relevant skills and certifications as possible and be intentional about what you’re learning. When the opportunity opens, you want to be ready, not just interested, but qualified.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering healthcare operations is to stay laser-focused on your “why,” be exceptionally organized, and maintain a positive, persistent attitude. In addition, trust your competence, speak up with confidence, and don’t wait to feel fully ready before taking on responsibility.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in healthcare operations is getting your foot in the door, but once you’re in, the opportunities are vast—networking and building strong relationships with leaders can open doors to growth and meaningful impact.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are family, creativity, and care for others, which I express through meaningful time with loved ones, creative pursuits, and responsibility for those who depend on me.
