Her Story
About Brittany
I've been in corporate for over 15 years, working across finance, sales operations, and business strategy. I started my career at L'Oreal USA in Manhattan in 2008, right around when the economy was suffering, running different forecast models and working through different pricing and demand models. That corporate initiation at a large company really shaped my foundation. Currently, I'm the VP of Sales Operations and Analytics at A. Stuckey Company, where I've been for almost 2 years. I came in as the Director of Commercial Finance, and as I joined, it was recognized that there was a need to better support our commercial leaders. The role evolved from a financial focus on forecasting and planning to leaning more into operations and execution to help drive top-line revenue. I've implemented Salesforce.com, an account planning and strategy methodology, and launched a data warehouse last year as the project lead, which was really exciting because my master's degree is in data analytics. We consolidated and pulled data from multiple ERPs into one data lake, cleansed the data, and worked with different teams to provide the reporting necessary for each department. Now we're in our execution phase, executing on what we said our plans were after we built up all this data and analyzed it. We're navigating a relatively challenging market with the economy and overall industry slowing down, but with the data we've been able to work with, we can now pivot and quickly make changes and execute. Outside of corporate, I lead women's retreats to combat burnout. I work with women in corporate who have been there for many years and are feeling stuck in their roles, looking to incorporate rituals and ceremony into their everyday practices to help really just embody their full self and refill their cup. I host two in-person experiences a year, working towards four, where we come together and work through different ceremonies and modalities to heal and fill our cups with what we need to go back into the world. It's what I needed, so that's why I created it.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice would be to find a mentor. Find a mentor, either in your field or a field adjacent, to, one, support you, be the sounding board that you'll need, and also provide any of those network connections that you'll need as well, because there are so few of us in the rail industry that it's really important that when we have the right support to help us kind of learn outside of our everyday work, but also to kind of connect and be the bridge between all the different types of companies as well. And it's good to have an ally.
