Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My career was shaped by a strong foundation in accounting and finance, along with my love of data and problem-solving. I previously worked in GE’s Supply Chain Finance Leadership Program, which challenged me to grow quickly, sharpen my analytical skills, and gain confidence in corporate finance environments. That experience prepared me for FP&A and helped me discover my passion for telling the story behind the numbers. I’ve had a few mentors since college who shaped my development; not just in finance, but in character, communication, and leadership. They helped me navigate corporate spaces, stay grounded, and maintain confidence, especially as a woman in a data-driven field. My proudest achievement is completing GE’s finance leadership program which was a rigorous and highly competitive experience that pushed me to my limits and helped me grow personally and professionally. I’m also proud that my current company sought me out for a manager role I didn’t even apply for, which showed me that my work, reputation, and consistency were speaking for me.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be a sponge and not a robot! That advice has stayed with me throughout my career. It’s a reminder to stay curious, open, and adaptable and to absorb new knowledge, perspectives, and experiences rather than just going through the motions. Growth comes from learning, not just doing.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Use your voice. Don’t shrink yourself in rooms where you’ve earned a seat. Be confident, be prepared, and know your value. You can be strong and assertive while still leading with empathy and emotional intelligence. This combination is a superpower in business.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges, but also the biggest opportunity is blending data, technology, and storytelling. Finance is no longer just about spreadsheets; it’s about creating a narrative that leadership can understand and act on. The future of FP&A will require financial professionals who can communicate clearly, think strategically, and use technology to work smarter.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I love coaching basketball, staying active, and spending time with my family. I’m a wife and mom, which means I’m balancing work, practices, games, and family time. And I genuinely love it. Coaching allows me to pour into young women the same way others poured into me. The values that guide me most are discipline, resilience, and integrity. I believe in showing up with consistency, staying grounded through challenges, and always doing what’s right even when it’s not easy. Whether I’m coaching a team, managing a budget, or raising my children, I strive to create an environment built on accountability, growth, and respect, where people feel seen, supported, and motivated to reach their full potential.
