Her Story
About Brittany
Brittany Daizon is a field operations and workforce management professional in the electrical contracting industry, currently serving as Field Talent and Operations Manager at Windemuller, Inc. In her role, she oversees daily field operations with a focus on manpower planning and resource allocation for more than 100 field personnel across construction, service, and low-voltage operations. She collaborates with leadership to develop skilled, well-rounded electricians and support effective workforce deployment across the organization. Notably, she is the first woman to hold this position at the company and the first person to oversee these areas collectively in a unified field operations role. Daizon's career path began with hands-on exposure to the trades through her father's HVAC business, where she began job site visits at a young age and assisted with invoicing while attending college. That experience helped open the door to an electrical contracting career, initially through project accounting, where she discovered her passion for operations. She subsequently progressed through electrical service coordination, branch coordination, and operations roles, developing extensive experience in workforce coordination, scheduling, resource planning, and field support. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University and has also completed field leadership training courses through a local institution. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Daizon is committed to strengthening opportunities for women in the construction and electrical trades. She is affiliated with ABC and Ladies Operating for Growth in Construction (LOGIC), and she supports the March of Dimes and Donate Life philanthropically. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in hard work, ambition, strong relationships, and finding the right people to build a successful team. As a mother of two daughters, she also places significant value on family and believes that supportive workplace cultures can help professionals build meaningful careers without sacrificing the people and priorities that matter most to them.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Brittany
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, ambition, and surrounding myself with the right people. Having the right people in my corner has helped me grow, navigate challenges, and recognize opportunities throughout my career.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to find what they genuinely enjoy doing and then determine how they can build a career around those interests. Rather than trying to force a career to fit your life, I believe it is more fulfilling to identify what you enjoy and find a way to incorporate it into your professional path.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is managing the day-to-day unpredictability of field operations. No two days are the same, and priorities can change quickly. Balancing organization, manpower needs, and unexpected issues is an ongoing challenge. I often consider a day successful if I accomplish even half of my original to-do list because new priorities inevitably arise.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My girls and my faith are the most important parts of my life, and I value working for a Christian organization that puts family first. Having a family-supportive workplace is especially meaningful to me because my youngest daughter has special needs, and my company accommodates remote work when I need to attend appointments. That flexibility allows me to be present for my family while continuing to contribute professionally.
