Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to overcoming many obstacles along the way and a strong work ethic that has kept me focused and driven. My mother played a big role early on by getting me involved in theater when I was in fourth grade, which helped build my confidence and creativity—foundations that have supported me throughout my career.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay committed to your passions, even if your path evolves over time. Building versatility by learning different aspects of design and project management will open doors and help you adapt to new opportunities with confidence.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve encountered in this field is overcoming gender bias, especially on job sites and in traditionally male-dominated spaces. However, this challenge also presents an opportunity—to persevere, continuously expand my knowledge across multiple areas, and build versatility. Doing so not only helps me stay respected but also empowers me to create a more inclusive environment for others.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are family and adventure. I cherish spending quality time with my loved ones, and we make it a tradition to go scuba diving together in Aruba every year—these experiences fuel my passion and balance in life.
