Her Interview
Ten minutes with Brittany
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the mentors and people who believed in me, opened doors, and encouraged my growth. Their guidance, opportunities, and support helped me learn, build confidence, and advance in my career. Those experiences taught me the value of community, and I believe in paying it forward by supporting and mentoring others whenever I can.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that people often hire you for your personality and potential, while the technical skills can be learned on the job. Having a positive attitude, being a strong cultural fit, and showing genuine passion and a willingness to learn can make a lasting impression. Of course, you still have to work hard and strive for excellence, but those qualities often speak volumes to hiring managers.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to find the balance between being compassionate and confident. While it has traditionally been a male-dominated field, that is changing, and your voice matters. Speak up when you have something to contribute, ask questions, know your worth, and stay open to learning. Most importantly, don't let criticism or setbacks define you—use them as opportunities to grow and keep moving forward with confidence and professionalism.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is breaking into the industry, especially as AI continues to transform the hiring process. Many companies now use AI to screen resumes, making it more important than ever to understand how to craft applications that stand out and secure interviews. While AI presents challenges, it also creates opportunities for those who learn to use it effectively and develop the skills needed to build, manage, and work alongside these technologies.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are teamwork and community. I believe that meaningful success is built through collaboration—no team, department, or organization succeeds in isolation. Supporting one another, sharing knowledge, and helping people find opportunities, whether it's landing a job or earning a promotion, creates a stronger community. Even as an introvert, I've found that building genuine connections is both rewarding and impactful.
