About Brittany
Brittany Jones is an emerging information technology professional with a growing background in federal IT sales, cybersecurity, and technical support. She currently serves as a Federal IT Sales Assistant at Panamerica Computers, Inc. (dba PCi Tec), where she is responsible for sourcing federal contracting opportunities, developing customer quotations, and coordinating meetings between sales representatives and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). She also supports federal procurement efforts by assisting with RFQs, RFPs, and contract administration while helping streamline sales operations and strengthen client relationships. Having begun her IT career as a Level 1 Tier 1 Help Desk Technician, Brittany successfully transitioned into federal technology sales, where she combines her technical foundation with strong organizational and communication skills to support government customers and business growth.
Committed to continuous professional development, Brittany is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Western Governors University, with an anticipated graduation in 2030. She holds CompTIA Tech+ and CompTIA A+ certifications and continues to expand her expertise through ongoing training in cybersecurity, IT architecture, IT service management, and emerging technologies. As the first person in her family to graduate from high school, attend college, and pursue higher education, she exemplifies perseverance, resilience, and a dedication to lifelong learning. She attributes her success to her determination, strong work ethic, and unwavering drive to achieve her goals.
Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Brittany is passionate about animal welfare and actively supports local SPCAs, animal shelters, and animal rights organizations through charitable donations. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my determination, resilience, and unwavering drive to achieve my goals. I believe that consistent hard work, a willingness to embrace new challenges, and a commitment to continuous learning have been the foundation of my personal and professional growth. As the first person in my family to graduate from high school, attend college, and pursue higher education, I have learned that perseverance and self-belief can overcome obstacles and create opportunities. These values continue to motivate me to strive for excellence and make a meaningful impact in everything I do.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to keep pursuing what I genuinely enjoy. I've found that when you're passionate about your work, you're more motivated to keep learning, overcome challenges, and continue growing. Following that advice has encouraged me to stay committed to building my career in information technology and cybersecurity, while remaining focused on opportunities that align with my interests and long-term goals.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the technology industry is to never give up or become discouraged. The journey may come with challenges, but there is a role that aligns with your strengths, interests, and goals. Stay confident in your abilities, continue learning, and remain open to new opportunities. With perseverance, determination, and a willingness to grow, you will find the right path and build a rewarding career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field, particularly when supporting government customers, is the unpredictability of the environment. Changes in funding, procurement priorities, regulations, and project timelines can significantly impact planning and execution. Success requires adaptability, patience, and the ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances. At the same time, these challenges create opportunities to develop strong problem-solving skills, build resilience, and provide consistent value by helping customers navigate an evolving federal technology landscape.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Maintaining a healthy work-school-life balance is one of the most important values in both my professional and personal life. I believe that achieving balance allows me to perform at my best, continue learning, and remain focused on my long-term goals while making time for the people and causes that matter most to me. By prioritizing balance, I am able to stay motivated, avoid burnout, and bring a positive, productive mindset to every aspect of my life.
