Her Interview
Ten minutes with Brittany
01What do you attribute your success to?
Hard work. Growing up knowing that hard work wasn't an option, it was how life worked.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My dad was told he would never amount to anything so might as well not go to college. He proved them wrong with a doctorate and became superintendent of schools. People can tell you a lot of things but at the end of the day it's up to you to do what you want to do and make yourself happy and learn all the things.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never be told you're not good enough. Own your stuff, learn all the things, do the hard work, eventually it pays off. Never listen to people who say you're not technical enough or too emotional. Just do what you want to do and what makes you happy.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
AI adoption is the biggest challenge. Also teaching new VAs e-commerce and technical skills while ramping them up to deliver work.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Transparency, honesty, and loyalty. If I understand fully what's going on, and people are honest about their situation, we can figure anything out.
