Brittany Meyers
I specialize in community engagement through events and strategic partnerships that bring businesses, nonprofits, and local communities together. Originally from Minnesota, I recently relocated to Southwest Florida to expand the community-centered work I’ve spent years building.
My passion is creating collaborative events that connect multiple local businesses and nonprofit organizations under one shared mission: supporting and strengthening the communities we live and work in. Through cause marketing, experiential events, and relationship-driven partnerships, I help businesses increase visibility and engagement while simultaneously raising awareness and support for local nonprofits.
I currently work in the pest control industry, where I’m building and expanding the company’s events and partnership initiatives across Southwest Florida. What began in Minnesota as individual business-centered community events has evolved into something much larger, a growing network of businesses, nonprofits, chambers, and community leaders working together across Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and surrounding areas to create meaningful local impact.
I believe many organizations spend too much time trying to figure out how to get the community to notice them, while forgetting that we are the community. We are neighbors, business owners, volunteers, and families living and working alongside one another every day. My approach focuses on building genuine relationships and creating opportunities for people to come together in ways that benefit everyone involved.
Leading through inspiration, collaboration, and community-first thinking has allowed me to build partnerships that continue to grow organically. Since arriving in Southwest Florida, the support and enthusiasm from local businesses and organizations has been incredible, and every day the network continues to expand.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to truly believing that every person can make a difference, and making it a priority to help people see how they can be part of that impact.
Over the years, I’ve learned that most people genuinely want to help, support their community, and get involved, but many organizations simply aren’t creating enough opportunities for meaningful engagement. A big part of my success has come from building those opportunities and creating spaces where businesses, nonprofits, and community members can come together with a shared purpose.
For me, it’s never been just about the event itself or the marketing behind it. It’s about starting conversations, building relationships, and inspiring people to participate in something bigger than themselves. When people feel connected to a mission and understand how they can contribute, engagement happens naturally.
I’ve found that community impact grows the moment people stop feeling like spectators and start feeling like they’re truly part of the community they live and work in.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to take the leap and not be afraid of hearing “no.”
So much growth happens the moment you stop letting rejection define your decisions. If you truly believe in something, whether it’s an idea, a vision, or a goal, you have to be willing to go after it even when there’s uncertainty involved.
That advice shaped the way I approach both business and community leadership. Some of the most meaningful opportunities in my career came from simply being willing to start the conversation, ask the question, or take the chance before I felt completely ready.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering any industry to trust their vision and stand confidently in what they believe they’re capable of building.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that not every company, leader, or environment will fully align with your goals or your vision for growth, and that’s okay. Don’t let that convince you to think smaller. If your ideas, ambitions, or goals feel bigger than the room you’re in, keep going until you find people and organizations that recognize your value and want to grow alongside you.
I also believe it’s important to stop waiting until you feel “ready” to take opportunities, speak up, or lead. Some of the greatest growth comes from being willing to take the leap before you have everything figured out.
Most importantly, don’t underestimate the power of relationships, community, and authenticity. The strongest opportunities in my career have come from building genuine connections with people and leading with purpose.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I believe collaboration and visibility are both the biggest challenges and the biggest opportunities in my field right now.
There are so many incredible businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations doing meaningful work, but many struggle with visibility and reaching the right audience in a meaningful way. At the same time, many organizations are still operating independently instead of realizing how much stronger they can be through collaboration.
Especially in community engagement and cause marketing, success often comes down to relationships, partnerships, and creating opportunities for people to connect. When businesses and nonprofits work together, they amplify one another’s reach, strengthen community trust, and create a much larger impact than they could individually.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, integrity, and compassion are the values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life.
I believe some of the most meaningful relationships and strongest communities are built through honest conversations that are led with compassion and respect. You can be truthful while still being understanding, supportive, and people-centered, and I try to carry that mindset into every partnership, collaboration, and interaction I have.
Integrity guides the way I lead and the commitments I make, while compassion reminds me to always see the people behind the business. Whether I’m working with local businesses, nonprofits, coworkers, or community members, I believe trust is built through authenticity, consistency, and genuinely caring about the impact we make on others.
At the end of the day, I want the work I do to bring people together, strengthen communities, and create opportunities that positively impact the lives of others.
