Brittany Muriale is a luxury fashion and e-commerce professional with approximately 15 years of experience in retail operations, merchandising, logistics, and team leadership. Driven by a lifelong passion for fashion and design, she pursued her studies at Brookdale Community College before earning a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Fashion Merchandising from LIM College in New York. During her academic journey, she gained valuable industry experience through internships with renowned brands and publications, including Cosmopolitan Magazine, Christian Louboutin, and Diane von Furstenberg.
Currently, Brittany serves as Assistant Operations Manager of E-Commerce at The RealReal, where she oversees a team of associates and senior specialists within the returns and fulfillment division. Her responsibilities include optimizing reverse logistics, improving operational efficiency, developing employee training programs, and maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and customer experience. Through her leadership, she has implemented training initiatives that improved team performance by 15% and reduced quality discrepancies by nearly 18%. Her professional expertise also encompasses inventory management, visual merchandising, customer service, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

I attribute my success to persistence, resilience, and having a clear vision of what I want to achieve. Being specific about my goals, identifying the steps needed to reach them, and building a supportive community are essential. I also believe in learning from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, as their perspectives and guidance help me grow both personally and professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to keep going and never get discouraged. I also believe in staying present, limiting distractions, and making meaningful connections with people. You never know who you might meet or what opportunities a simple conversation could lead to, so I always encourage myself to remain open to new relationships and possibilities.

My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay present, remain approachable, and take advantage of opportunities to connect with others. Whether commuting, visiting a coffee shop, or navigating the city, be open to conversations and building relationships. You never know who you might meet or where a simple conversation could lead, so stay curious and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow.
