Her Interview

Ten minutes with Brittany

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my grandmother and to God. A lot of what I did was to make her proud, and I also want to make God proud. Family and God are my motivation.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received is the 'let them' approach: letting people do what they want, be who they want, say what they want, and not letting it affect you. Keep your mind on what's important and don't let small things take away your energy. Never know what people are going through, so don't take things personal.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell them to follow their dreams, don't share dreams too early, take time learning yourself, and choose love in every situation.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The market is pretty saturated, it's a who knows who thing so networking is really important. There are always people that want to see you do good but not better than them. Finding the balance of achieving high goals without oversharing them before they've blossomed. Tight-knit groups that you need to break into.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Community is really important, being a good person someone can rely on. I like to have a fresh, positive look every single day and be someone people can go to for a fresh, positive perspective. Positivity, love, and going with the flow without taking things too personal are key.
