About Brittany

Brittany Taylor, MBA, is a Technical Advisor at Nufarm with over 12 years of experience in manufacturing, specializing in quality control and agricultural production systems. Since beginning her career in 2013, she has built a strong foundation in quality assurance within manufacturing environments, including the production of herbicides, insecticides, and seed treatments. Her expertise lies in ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across complex operations.

In her role at Nufarm, Brittany serves as a critical link between quality and operations, combining technical knowledge with hands-on manufacturing experience. She is responsible for managing production schedules, conducting in-process and final quality inspections, and ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and lot traceability in compliance with regulatory standards. She also partners with engineers on process optimization and equipment scale-up initiatives, contributing to improved efficiency and operational performance.

Brittany is especially recognized for her collaborative approach and on-the-floor leadership, where she focuses on building trust, strengthening communication, and encouraging team members to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement. Outside of her professional work, she values time with her daughter and enjoys spending time at the beach, as well as staying connected with family and participating in family gatherings. She remains open to opportunities across manufacturing sectors, including agriculture, beauty, and oil, where she can continue to apply her expertise in quality and operations excellence.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Brittany

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my love of learning. Being in the industry that I was in and working on the floor, I just love to learn so I can teach others. That's the main thing for me. When I get a better understanding of something, I can explain it better to others who are not on the same level, and that helps me be promotable to higher positions. It helps me learn and do my job better, but it also helps me communicate to those who don't understand the why behind a lot of things. I can provide the bigger picture to people who might not see it when they first get hired for a job.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to not be afraid to take chances. Growth comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone, and you never truly know where an opportunity may lead unless you take the first step.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to be patient and learn all you can. Your skills are transferable you can take them anywhere. Don't limit yourself to one specific path, because the knowledge and expertise you gain can open doors in many different areas.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field right now is that, while there are many job openings, some employers are searching for a “perfect” candidate that doesn’t truly exist, which can make it harder for qualified professionals to get opportunities even when they have strong, transferable experience and the ability to learn quickly. While I understand that certain industries require specific technical backgrounds, I also see an opportunity for employers to take a more open-minded approach and invest in developing talent, as this often leads to discovering strong contributors who bring fresh perspective and value. Personally, I prefer to take my time and find the right fit rather than rush into a role where I cannot thrive, as I value environments where I can grow, contribute meaningfully, and feel aligned with the team and culture.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are respect and communication. I believe these two principles are the foundation of strong relationships, effective teamwork, and personal integrity. When people communicate openly and treat one another with respect, it creates trust, understanding, and a positive environment in every aspect of life.
